Elder Laureen Blu Waters

Laureenblu Waters Istchii Nickamoon is available on Saturday, March 28th by appointment.

Blu is Wolf Clan and her family comes from Big River, Saskatchewan, Star Blanket Reserve, Bra’dor Lake, Eskasoni First Nations. Blu is Cree/Métis/Micmac. Blu carries traditional teachings; she is able to give Spirit Names, facilitates Pipe Ceremonies and sweat lodges including Full Moon Lodges. She is a hand drummer and song writer and Sun Dancer.

Blu is known for her understanding, kind and gentle ways. She has a way with people that is comforting. If you’d like to sit with her for a while, please contact us.

Laureenblu Waters Istchii Nickamoon

Blu is Wolf Clan and her family comes from Big River, Saskatchewan, Star Blanket Reserve, Bra’dor Lake, Eskasoni First Nations. Blu is Cree/Métis/Micmac, a mother of three and grandmother to three.

Blu carries traditional teachings; she is able to give Spirit Names, facilitates Pipe Ceremonies and sweat lodges including Full Moon Lodges. She is a hand drummer and song writer, Sun Dancer and avid hunter.

Blue spent five years as the National Caucus Representative for the Toronto Urban Aboriginal Strategies and is currently working for the National Inquiry for Murdered and Missing women as Grandmother to commissioner Brian Evelfson while sitting in the Grandmother’s Circle. Additionally, Blu is an Elder for Seneca College and a graduate of DeVry Institute of Technology (certified in business software micro-computer architecture).
