Are you a workshop facilitator or need a better photo of yourself for your website? Brandy will help you. She’ll be with us for two mornings and can do short, 15 minute appointments. She will be taking digital photos and after the conference, she will email them to you for your use. Don’t miss this opportunity – there aren’t many spaces available.

Remember, don’t double book yourself. You can’t be in two places at once. Check the schedule below and make sure you are only registered for one activity.

Description

brandy bloxom photography, portrait workshop, indigenous women's arts conference, pass the feather. aboriginal arts Collective of canadaA self taught photographer, Brandy has helped aspiring photographers within her home community of Denare Beach, Saskatchewan and neighbouring communities of Creighton and Flin Flon.

With an eye for detail, Brandy promotes self-acceptance, passion, and celebration of our physical uniqueness with her artistic photography. As a mother of two young women, her work in this area has been strongly inspired to ensure she leaves her children with positive media influences and strong self esteem.

Brandy has taken on roles as a documentary photographer to capture events locally and internationally. As a current board member of Diamonds In The Rough (DITR), she traveled to Russia to document the first all women’s mine rescue team to compete in an international mine rescue competition and the first ever women to perform work in the underground workings of a mine in Russia (where it is illegal for women to work underground).

High in demand as a photographer and artist, Brandy balances her work with her life as a wife and mother of three. She continues to seek opportunities to display women in roles that break barriers. She continues to enjoy the outdoors in northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba always with a camera in tow.
